Church and Sunday School Standard

 Whereas, a church and Sunday School officer and teacher occupies a position of utmost importance and is looked up to as a guide and example by virtue of the work:

 Be it resolved, that all teachers, officers and regularly appointed substitutes or assistant teacher, and officers of the Church, before appointment or re-appointment, shall be truly born again Christians and members in good standing of the church.

             Further, that all shall subscribe to the following:

(1)    I believe that faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the only condition of salvation. John 14:6; Acts 4:12, Eph. 2:8-9

(2)    Relying on the Holy Spirit for guidance and power, I will strive to win souls to Christ and will engage in prayer and personal work to that end.  Matt. 28:19-20; 1 John 2:17.

(3)    I will engage to prepare my lessons and/ or  perform my duties in such a way that the work may glorify the lord.  1 Corinthians 2:13; Colossians 3:17.

(4)    I will purpose to glorify the Lord in my personal life: by abstaining from those practices which degrade my personal and public testimony; and by actively engaging in those areas affecting spiritual growth.  II Corinthians 6:17; I Thessalonians 5:22; I Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20; I John 2:15-17.
